Ideas
Before you make the call, plan it on a piece of paper. List the plot, the character and so on. Think of the listeners; what will make them laugh? Try to think and reherse all the ways the conversation could go. Have a reaction for all of them. Don't let the conversation get boring! Liven it up by what ever means you can.
Remember to keep in control of the conversation, no matter how angry the victim gets. What could provoke the victim into- anger/trust/nervousness etc. This is best determined when you've heard your victim speaking a conversation.
Once your victim trusts you, you can get them to virtually anything!
Have a funny name ready, these prove a very interesting and funny call e.g. Amanda Huggankiss, Hugh Jaas and Ivana Tinkle.
Test your voice, use different accents! Or better yet, make a call and change your accent as many times as you can before the victim notices.
You don't have to understand everything the victim says. Confuse his words and get him annoyed by asking him to repeat phrases.
